It has come to our attention that a small group of users tried to push their ELO points in quick play by exploiting a bug. The bug led to games not timing out properly and being paused indefinitely, avoiding the penalty for losing.

I am very impressed by the speed which the server algorithm was corrected to prevent “gaming” the results. I look forward to another revision in the Quick Play category. I have had more then three of today’s global top 20 simply abandon a game when it doesn’t start to their liking. Perhaps a larger ELO penalty and simultaneously dinging their win % will keep all players engaged and let more games run to completion.
This app shows how gorgeous a iOS 3.0 app can look when run pixel doubled on the iPad. I can’t wait for version 1.1 to see how much better it looks.
